SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient POS Specialist to lead the deployment and integration of a Point of Sale (POS) system across six distinct business entities within our organization. This role is critical in maintaining a unified POS platform that supports operational efficiency, data integrity, and user satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

• Project Management:

  • Maintain the end-to-end implementation of the POS system (Retail Cloud) across all six business entities.

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely delivery.

• Business Use Case Development & Functional Mapping:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders from each business unit to gather and document specific operational workflows and requirements.

  • Develop detailed use cases that reflect the unique needs of each entity, including sales processes, inventory management, reporting, and customer engagement.

  • Analyze and map these use cases against the capabilities of the current POS provider to identify gaps, customization needs, or process adjustments.

  • Work closely with Retail Cloud to ensure alignment between business needs and system functionality.

• System Configuration

  • Customize POS settings to meet the unique needs of each business entity.

• Training & Support:

  • Develop training materials and conduct hands-on training sessions for volunteers.

  • Provide ongoing support during and after implementation to resolve issues and optimize usage.

• Testing & Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct system testing, including UAT (User Acceptance Testing), to ensure functionality and reliability.

  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, escalating to vendors when necessary.

• Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, workflows, and procedures.

  • Generate reports on implementation progress, system performance, and user feedback.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in POS system implementation or IT project management.

• Strong understanding of retail and food and beverage operations and workflows.

• Experience with POS platforms such as Retail Cloud, Square, Lightspeed, Toast, or similar.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. Extended work hours required, especially during peak periods of our annual show.
